The event organized by the Department of Social Services at Munzur University's Faculty of Health Sciences to mark International Women's Day on March 8 was held with great interest.
The program began with an opening speech by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Nuran CIKCIKOĞLU YILDIRIM, followed by remarks from Prof. Dr. Ülkü ÖZBEY, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences. In her speech, Prof. Dr. Özbey emphasized that being a woman is an unwavering resilience inherited through an epigenetic legacy and the art of transforming this resilience into social grace.
On this special day, which builds a bridge between generations,
video presentations prepared by our university and faculty were shown to honor women's labor.
Moderated by Dr. Ceylan Sülü AKGÜL, the wise elders of the 60+ Rejuvenation University, Akife Turan, Beser Karaboğa, Senem Yumlu, Seher Kont Erdoğan, and Hatice Karaca, shared their profound experiences on "Being a Woman in Tunceli."
The event was crowned with a heartwarming musical performance by Gülsüm Hoş Karakoç, Aziz Erdoğan, and Seher Kont Erdoğan.
We would like to thank our Social Services Department, which was the architect of this valuable organization, our entire academic staff, and our students who are future social workers.
