ERASMUS+ STUDENT MOBILITY OF STUDY
This activity, which was named as faaliyet Student Exchange inde activity in Socrates II Period, was realized as Student Learning Mobility activity within the scope of Lifelong Learning Program between 2007-2013, and it will continue as Erasmus+ Student Learning Mobility between 2014-2020.
With the Erasmus + Student Mobility of Study, students have the chance to become an exchange student at one of the other Erasmus University Charter institutions for one or two (3-12 months) terms in one academic year and receive financial support for their stay abroad within the program. The financial support will not be reimbursed and is not intended to cover all the costs of the students, but merely to assist in the additional costs arising from mobility. The selected students can be Erasmus students as "Erasmus students (with 0 grants)".
Erasmus + Learning Mobility can be made within the scope of inter-institutional agreements. Institutions declare their applications to their students in order to determine the Erasmus students who will go under their existing agreements. Mobility can only be carried out among institutions that have an Erasmus University Charter with which they have agreements with each other. In order to benefit from Learning Mobility, students should apply to the Erasmus Coordinatorship of their institution and be involved in the selection process. Each institution determines its own application and election dates. The European Union Education and Youth Programs Center sets annual national priorities and criteria for selection for Erasmus students to be selected before the commencement of the mobility period. Higher education institutions elect their students according to the selection criteria determined by the European Union Center for Education and Youth Programs.
Students can benefit from more than one mobility, provided that they do not exceed a total of 12 months in each of the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral semesters. Receiving an internship mobility grant is not an obstacle to receiving a learning mobility grant. Please refer to the Erasmus + National Call for Proposals for the relevant academic year.
Academic Status, Course Registration and Academic Fees
Equivalent courses are determined in the institution to which the student is going to take in return for the courses that the student has to take in his / her institution. And the recognition of the courses taken is guaranteed by the Learning Agreement signed before the exchange period between the student, the student's own institution and the institution where he / she is going to study. Course names and contents are not expected to be exactly the same, a high level of similarity of the course content is sufficient. The Erasmus University Charter of the higher education institution where the courses in a Learning Agreement, where the signatures to be signed by the authorities of the institutions and the student going to be completed, has been completed. And in the event of a violation, the Center is obliged to report the situation to the European Commission and this may result in the cancellation of the Declaration of the institution.
30 ECTS credits for a semester and 60 ECTS credits for a year should be targeted. The student's achievement of 2/3 of the credit of the courses taken is considered as achievement goal. Successful students considered, the period spent abroad when they return to Turkey of training (s) will be considered to have undergone in Turkey. Students who are deemed unsuccessful will continue their education before they become Erasmus students, but they are exempted from the courses equivalent to the total credit amount of the courses they have succeeded.
Erasmus students are enrolled at the university that students in Turkey. It is not possible for students to suspend their registration at their own universities for the period they will spend abroad. Registration and tuition fees are paid to the students' own institutions where they are registered, and no registration or tuition fees are paid to the institution. However, the institution can also request Erasmus students to pay small amounts other than registration and tuition fees requested by their students. Examples of such payments are sports facilities subscription fees, transportation fees.
